Return blank cell only if referred cell is blank but return aging if date is entered

I'm attempting a formula for ageing. I have one column that lists the dates I've provided the information, however, some of the rows in the column are empty. I want to include an ageing formula in a different column. I want the ageing cell to be empty if the "submitted date" cell is empty. I want it to display how many days have passed since it was submitted if a date was supplied.

I haven't used Excel formulas that much yet. I am aware of how to produce ageing and how to make one cell blank if another is already empty. However, I am unsure of how to integrate the two formulas into a single cell.

Try this:

=IF(ISBLANK(AC2),"",TODAY()-AC2) 

The TODAY  function automatically refreshes based on the time on your computer. Change TODAY() to a cell reference where a specific date is supplied to have control over the reference point that the calculation uses (and where it can be changed to suit).
