Both RACI and RAM help to identify roles; however, they serve different purposes.

RACI Matrix (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed)

Determines who is conducting the work (Responsible), who approves (Accountable), who provides input (Consulted), and who is kept informed (Informed).

Helps to avoid decision-making ambiguity.

Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM)

Used to clarify resource-level roles.
 
- 
Focuses on who is assigned to which work package in the WBS.

Ensures proper resource allocation throughout the project.
 
 
While RACI explains decision-making authority, RAM ensures that work is assigned appropriately among team members.
